Welcome to the 2015-2016 school year!
My name is Robin Block and I have the privilege of serving as principal of Bridlewood Elementary. This is the beginning of my fourth year at our wonderful school where parents and teachers work together to accomplish our mission to “dedicate ourselves to provide an educational foundation that nurtures integrity and fosters a love of learning.”
I grew up in the small town of Leonard, Texas which is just north of McKinney. My husband, Mike and I are blessed with four children, Payton, Max, Ashleigh and Josh. Payton is a sophomore at the University of Texas (Hook 'em Horns) and Ashleigh is a junior at Stephen F. Austin. Max and Josh are juniors in high school.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in education from the University of North Texas and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from SFA.
This year our school theme is all about celebrating the work of Dr. Seuss! Every grade level and department has selected a different book as their focus. Dr. Seuss’ main goal was to help children learn to read independently. We would love for you to join us in reinforcing and modeling this by reading nightly with your children.
I'm so excited about the 2015-2016 school year. Bridlewood teachers work so hard and are committed to ensuring that all students learn. Please know that I have an open door policy and want to hear your concerns and praises.
I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org.
